Posted May 9th, 2007 by bandjonetWe overclock a golden oldie, the Athlon 3000+ was a favorite among
hardware enthusiasts back in May 2005, now-a-days it's Core 2 Duo, but

ECS NF650iSLIT-A Motherboard Review @ HardwareLogic
Posted May 8th, 2007 by bandjonetWhile INTEL continues to release quality chipset after quality chipset (with their G33 and G35 chipsets already showing up for pre-order), those who favor the NVIDIA silicon and the benefits they offer (SLI anyone?) are fairly limited.
Altec Lansing PT6021 Speaker System @ DreamWare Computer
Posted May 6th, 2007 by bandjonetIt's been a while since we last looked at a speaker system from Altec Lansing, so you can be sure that I was excited when the opportunity to review the new PT6021 speaker system came up. The design is eye catching and the attention to extra features isn't lacking in the least. Time to put this sweet new system through it's paces to see just how well it performs!
Silverstone Decathlon DA750 Modular Power Supply Review @ HardwareLogic
Posted May 6th, 2007 by bandjonetLook Ma, no cables! Like it or not, modular cables are here to stay,

Silverstone's new Decathlon units boast high efficiency, low noise, and
lots of power. Today we put the DA750 under the scope and throw a pair
of nVidia 8800GTS videocards into the mix

It comes with different colored face plates as well as a wide array of LCD backlights to make sure it integrates will with your case."
Halo 3 Beta Criticism... @ OCModShop
Posted May 4th, 2007 by bandjonetPhase 2 of participant selection for the Halo 3 beta has come and gone and someone somewhere should be ashamed. For the record, as far as I can tell I succeeded in getting in and even if I did not, I already pre-ordered the Xbox 360 game Crackdown (pre-ordered and specially marked copies include a beta invite). So, it is without personal anger that I criticize the whole affair.
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra Sneak Preview @ Benchmark Reviews
Posted May 4th, 2007 by bandjonetWhen NVIDIA originally released the GeForce 8800 series back in November of 2006, the industry was stunned. The performance yielded by the newly minted top-level 8800 GTX nearly doubled the next best offerings prior to their launch. Even the slightly less powerful 8800 GTS managed to post similarly astonishing results, making their release a double-whammy for the competition.
