Introduction:
The XtracPads Ripper XXL is an excellent addition to your workspace period. If you have the room for this enormous mousing surface it's worth the twenty-five dollars. This is not only great for an all purpose work mat; for anything and everything. It is also great for a Keyboard/Mouse combo mat. This concept fixes the idea of those stupid gelly things you put on your keyboard because it cushioning your wrists evenly. Also its fabric surface is smooth for mice when paired with the included Teflon pads.
Review:
The box...:
It's a pretty nifty box... The box well more like tube is creative and protective. If you were daring enough to bring this monster to a LAN party you would have a great transfer case. I guess you could share with five of your friends if they didn't bring a pad.

On to the Mat!:
The mat is a beautiful dull black with the signature XtracPads logo in the lower left hand corner. The styling of this pad is great. It's simple yet elegant. It shows how a mouse pad should look with no clutter or stupid designs. A little more on the design of the mat is the rubber backing which is about the thickness of two cd's on top of one another and it grips very well; no slippage at all.
Tests:
The Ripper XXL was tested with my favorite of all FPS's; UT2004. I can't wait till 2006 comes out, but that's beside the point. The mouse (Razer Diamondback Plasma LE) performed flawlessly with the pad. It was smooth and had immediate response. There was plenty of room and never came across the problem of running off the mouse pad in a death match. Other than using this mouse pad for mousing purposes it's great for a work surface. Over the past week that it has been reviewed I have used it for about six or seven side projects. It is great to work on due to its smooth yet gripable surface. And it is anti-electricity; which is a plus when working with power supplies. Also it has a massive surface area which makes it easy to plot out parts and screws so that it is a breeze to put the darn things back together. Along with great mouse performance and a great work surface this pad is also great for taking http://www.nippychips.com/pictures. It was used as the background for the included items and I plan to use it in all future reviews. It absorbs light to an extent and looks great in the http://www.nippychips.com/pictures.
Final Thoughts:
This pad is great for anything and everything. This is a true multipurpose pad. It isn't held back to the original standards of the mouse pad. And on top of all that it is HUGE. Due to no design flaws, awesome performance I give this a perfect ten out of ten.
Pros:
- Huge
- Stays in place with rubber backing
- Smooth
- Mad Tape easily matches mouse with mousing surface
Cons:
- Due to the large size, may inhibit use due to not enough space
10/10
